Apex Alpha Supports are engineered steel column support posts that can be used in any basement or crawl space to support your home or foundation. Our Vision
The genesis of Apex Alpha Supports is a simple story. Wolfe Construction Group has always strived to put our customer’s needs first. Our vision was to create something new that would shake up the industry; something that we can stand by; something so strong that it will last for the life of the home. Several design prototypes were developed and then field-tested for functionality, strength, ease of installation and more. We then made modifications required to meet North Carolina building code standards and qualify the Apex Alpha Supports as a permanent support member of your home. This exciting new proprietary system goes above and beyond the typical support systems available. In simple terms, they are stronger, more durable and allow us to achieve greater recovery results in many different situations where standard supports just can’t measure up for foundation and structural repairs. The Apex Alpha Supports are an engineered product that enables us to achieve a level of results and efficiency that other products and companies simply cannot do.
The Process
The Apex Alpha Supports are installed on newly poured concrete footers. Its base is anchored into the concrete and then assembled and attached to a top plate to support the structural member above. The system can then be adjusted as needed – a tremendous benefit to the homeowner. This also enables our team to assist with an additional lifting at any time for no charge.
For example, say a homeowner wants to remodel their kitchen in a few years but needs to stabilize their current floor. Wolfe can install Apex Alpha Supports under their kitchen to stabilize – not lift – the floor to avoid cracking the existing tile floor. While further floor deflection is still possible, the homeowner is comfortable knowing that it will not continue to settle further. When they are ready to remodel down the road, the space is demoed and prepped for new flooring and finishes. Before the work is completed, Wolfe can lift the area as there is no more concern with broken tiles and other damage. This process is simple and quick, thanks to the adjustable Apex Alpha Supports.
